These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and MedTrialMatch governing your use of medtrialmatch.com and our matching services. By using the site or submitting a form, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

MedTrialMatch is a free matching service that connects people interested in clinical research with IRB-approved research studies that are actively enrolling. We are not a research site, a sponsor, or a healthcare provider, and we do not conduct clinical trials ourselves.

Participation in any study is always voluntary, and there is no cost to be matched.

Nothing on our site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here. Always consult your physician about your health and before joining any clinical study.

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use the service. You agree to provide accurate, current information in the matching form — research sites rely on it to assess study fit.

You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it by automated means except as permitted.

A match is not an offer of enrollment. Final eligibility for any study is always determined by the research site's medical team under its IRB-approved protocol. Compensation, if any, is set by each individual study and may vary by participation level.

When you submit our form with consent, you authorize MedTrialMatch and its partner IRB-approved research sites to contact you by phone, email, or SMS about clinical research opportunities, as described in our Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of participation, and you can opt out at any time (reply STOP to texts).

The research sites and studies we match you with are operated by independent organizations. MedTrialMatch is not responsible for their conduct, communications, protocols, or the outcomes of any study. Your relationship with a research site — including informed consent to participate — is between you and that site.

The site, its content, and our marks belong to MedTrialMatch or our licensors. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes; you may not copy, scrape, or reuse content without permission.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedTrialMatch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the acts or omissions of independent research sites. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred dollars (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold MedTrialMatch harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which MedTrialMatch is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
